About Us

THIS stands for The Hope Institute of Sound* and is Liverpool Hope University’s student radio station. We broadcast globally online at thisradio.co.uk and through the THIS Radio Smartphone App and on 1350am reaching across the city of Liverpool capturing drive-time and breakfast slots.

THIS Radio broadcasts mainly from its studios in the Media Centre at Hope Park campus, but has the facility for outside broadcast from a variety of locations including the Creative Campus.The station broadcasts a full schedule of programmes with university and student community content as well as covering the life of Liverpool.

The station offers volunteers the opportunity to develop employability and industry networking skills, communications and practical media production skills. We also provide training and opportunities in print/broadcast journalism, marketing/PR and online social media.

We have been working closely with Visiting Professor of Broadcast Journalism, Roger Phillips notable BBC Radio Merseyside presenter.
